Cost: € 595 Dates: Fri 29 March – Fri 5 April Language: English with Jo Bell & Martin Malone The best poetry sounds like nothing but itself. Your strongest work derives from your own voice: and working with others will help you to find it. In a lively week of writing, reading and challenging ourselves as writers, we encourage you to write the best poetry you can. You will come away with plentiful new work, and the creative chemistry of Gardoussel will be vital. Working together can generate new ideas, so we encourage you to pair up, work in groups and develop your own poetry in collaboration with others in order to juice up your verse. Friendly, fizzy and pleasantly challenging for all levels of poetry writer. Tutors Jo Bell’s first poetry collection was Navigation and she is the former director of National Poetry Day as well as a regular tutor for The Poetry School. She lives on a narrowboat and Navigation drew on that life, as well as on her work as an archaeologist. http://belljarblog.wordpress.com/ Martin Malone is a UK based, award winning poet whose recent prizes include the 2011 Straid Poetry Award for new collections, the 2012 Mirehouse and the 2011 Wivenhoe Poetry Prizes.
